Make the routes readable
Choose Spectacle, Calm or Minimal effects on Night, Daylight or Streets. Six route presets, automatic detail, motion preferences and larger text share one Display profile across Map and Netgraph.
CANADA 0.18.0 // WORLDWIDE 0.9.0
Watch MeshCore packets move between nodes, explore their connections in Netgraph, and choose how the traffic looks and sounds. Open the Canada map or run the worldwide edition on your own MQTT feed.
Choose Spectacle, Calm or Minimal effects on Night, Daylight or Streets. Six route presets, automatic detail, motion preferences and larger text share one Display profile across Map and Netgraph.
Browse voices with Previous and Next, then preview piano, bells, synths, sonar, 8-bit, dial-up modems and more before turning sound on. Live sound follows visible hops. Use Mute or press M outside text fields to silence it immediately.
Follow everywhere, a fixed area or a selected node. Each live subject gets ten seconds with a countdown, Hold, Next and Inspect. The camera stays still until you turn Follow on.
Terminal turns the same geographic scene into a 90s BBS map: subdued water and terrain, crisp coloured routes, bold node markers and glowing live character packets. Bright packet cores and short trails stand out while labels stay clear and readable. Calm, Minimal and reduced-motion settings keep the effects quieter. Open Terminal options for BBS, Amber, Green, CGA, EGA and Cel-shaded presets. Pick colours for the map, routes, packets, nodes, labels and interface with colour sliders; choose console or pixel fonts and adjust their size. Routes stay sharp over Braille, ASCII, pixel blocks or flat shaded geography. Choose glowing character packets or smooth live traffic, and turn down the map brightness independently. Find, layers, Follow, inspection and sounds work here too. Terminal starts with fine Braille, Neon routes, High graphics and Complete detail; layers and display choices stay separate from Map and Netgraph.
On phones, one view picker switches between Map, Netgraph, Terminal and Labs. Find, Layers, Follow, 3D and Sound stay in a single row. Netgraph keeps region filters and route controls in Layers; Map puts Display in the view picker. Sheets have clear close buttons and stay above the keyboard. Back closes map information without leaving the view, Follow keeps its controls reachable on short screens, and an empty Netgraph offers a direct way to clear filters or widen the time window.
Turn on 3D from the compact map dock. It enables Topo and Buildings, with pitch, compass and terrain-height controls in Layers. The legend and credits leave more room for the map. Netgraph starts top-down and has its own 3D button: tilt and rotate familiar geographic groups, follow packets along raised connections, and select a node to frame its neighbours. Spread region bubbles, drag their labels and pick one or several regions. Active filters remain visible when menus are closed; Clear filters keeps your saved layout and route visibility. Switch Routes off to keep live packets and short fading traces. Help & controls explains each view from Display on desktop or the phone View menu. Labs shows only settings used by its scenes, and High quality can override automatic economy. Canada release notes ↗
WORLDWIDE // VERSION 0.9.0
A live map, worldwide Netgraph and BBS-style Terminal for your community's MeshCore MQTT feed. Published Docker images support Intel/AMD and ARM64, including a Pi with a 64-bit OS. OpenFreeMap supplies the default maps and buildings without an API key.
.env.docker compose pull
docker compose up -d --no-build
On the same machine, open http://localhost:8080/ or /netgraph/. Follow the setup guide for LAN access or a public HTTPS reverse proxy. Existing installations should keep their .env and data volume.
ANDROID // VERSION 1.1.2 // SIGNED
The signed Android app opens the live Canada service, so map updates arrive without a new APK. Map and Netgraph start with Full motion and Spectacle in the app; Terminal follows the system motion preference by default. Saved choices are preserved and can be changed in Display. Terminal can be your starting view or reopen as your last view. The app menu lets you choose the starting view, show the system bars, keep the screen awake, share a view or open it in your browser. View changes keep the scene visible, and slow connections have clearer recovery controls. Install over the existing app to preserve your preferences; the signing certificate is unchanged.
Checked on Android 8.0 and Android 16 emulators. This release has not been tested on a physical device. Android release notes ↗
